Hey, thanks for turning that article into a proper one and adding all that info. All I knew of him was what he did in regards to Flight Unlimited. I had no idea about his numerous other contributions!--DooMDrat 06:12, Apr 25, 2005 (UTC)
User talk
[edit]Frankly, Justin shouldn't have to settle for a User_talk page on Wiki. An honesttogoodness Wikipedia article is in order.
Ah, thanks for correcting me on the Seamus Blackly article
[edit]I should never 100% trust a Wikipedia image uploader's caption saying that was Seamus Blackly. (I removed the misinformed caption) When I zoomed on the scan cover, you're definitely right and your user page states that you have met him before. Thanks for removing it. :-) --Krystyn Dominik 7 July 2005 02:38 (UTC)
Swarthmore
[edit]I see you went to Swarthmore from Wikipedians by alma mater. I'm thinking of applying there next year. Any advice or words of wisdom for me? Neutralitytalk 01:59, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
Bio rewrite
[edit]Hey Justin, just saw that you had a page here, at Justin Hall. :) I went ahead and wikified it a bit... If I ended up removing anything that you feel is important, please accept my apologies -- let me know a good reference for it, and I'll go ahead and get it re-added. See you at GDC? danah boyd
[edit]Hi Justin, Joe Hall here from UC Berkeley. I'm thinking about proposing Danah boyd to be deleted. She's a good friend and such but recent doubts about notability Talk:Danah boyd and seeing that you created it and that I'm editing a lot leads me to wonder about issues of WP:VAIN. Thoughts? -- Joebeone (Talk) 20:51, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Alan Yu

Thank you very much for your support in my RfA. Unfortunately consensus was not reached, and the nomination was not successful. However, I do appreciate your comments, am still in support of the Wikipedia project, and will continue to contribute without interruption. Thanks again! --Elonka 19:28, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Bruce Woodcock
[edit]Justin, hiya, I'm contacting you as a neutral editor who knows the game industry. I have no idea whether or not you know Bruce Woodcock personally, but if you have a moment, could you please take a look at the AfD on his article and offer an opinion concerning notability? Thanks, --Elonka 01:13, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Game-related AfDs
[edit]BTW, you might want to watchlist this page, as it contains a steadily-scrolling list of game-related articles on Wikipedia which have been nominated for deletion. It's far too busy to participate in every one, but I scan through it every few days, to see if there are any subjects in particular where I'd like to offer an opinion: Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer and video games/Deletion. --Elonka 21:37, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
howdy...!
[edit]Between 1994 and 2005, I wrote a few thousand web pages about my life.
Wait, you're that Justin. Still humble, I see. I remember you ... I moved (back) to the Bay Area in 1994 and a number of people I was meeting (around Cyborganic's TNDs, for example) were talking about you. I remember that cross-country gig you did. Very cool days. In years since, when people mention how big "blogging" is, I just chuckle and say, "You d'know the half of it. See, back in '94, there was this guy...." Live long and prosper, Justin. — David Spalding ta!k y@wp/Contribs 01:43, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Notability of Austin Grossman
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Austin Grossman, by MrPibbs (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Austin Grossman seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Austin Grossman, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 06:26, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your support in my Request for Adminship. Unfortunately the nomination did not succeed, but please rest assured that I am still in full support of the Wikipedia project, and I'll try again in a few months! If you ever have any questions or suggestions for me, please don't hesitate to contact me. Best wishes, --Elonka 03:39, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Ranjit Bhatnagar
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ranjit Bhatnagar, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Gazimoff WriteRead 16:47, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Jason Wishnow
[edit]A tag has been placed on Jason Wishnow requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb1 (talk) 14:20, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello JustinHall! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

The article Journey to Wild Divine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 12:50, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Journey to Wild Divine
[edit]I have nominated Journey to Wild Divine, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Journey to Wild Divine. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. andy (talk) 22:19, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Facade-screencap.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Facade-screencap.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 04:18, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hudl, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Athletes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Blevin Blectum
[edit]The article Blevin Blectum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article has no sources thus failing WP:V. Subject appears to fail WP:BASIC, WP:CREATIVE and WP:MUSBIO. Claimed award appears to be well below the top level and is unsourced. The whole article reads like a resume. A Google yielded nothing that rings the N Bell. How did this article survive so long?
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ad Orientem (talk) 05:38, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
The article James Bridle has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 01:02, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Jessica Carew Kraft
[edit]Hello JustinHall,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jessica Carew Kraft for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hi JustinHall, just to note, I made the nomination because the article subject doesn't appear to meet our WP:GNG guidelines, including WP:AUTHOR. In addition, the article is essentially unreferenced; those that are present are a book review, two 'author pages' on websites, and links to articles she has written. If you believe the article could be improved to meet notability guidelines, perhaps consider moving it to draft space until it's ready for publication? Regards, BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 20:57, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
