Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

You might find these pages useful:

You can always experiment in the sandbox.

If you like, you can introduce yourself at the new user log, or write something about yourself on your user page.

One more thing: if you leave a note on any kind of discussion page it's always helpful to sign your post with four tildes (~~~~), which is automatically converted to your username and the date and time. Don't do this in articles themselves though as they are not 'owned' by any particular contributor.

If you have any questions, see help, leave a question at the help desk, or feel free to drop me a line on my talk page.

Thanks again and happy editing!

Hi Boris. I've removed your comment that John Fowles felt alientated from his parents, as this is the type of subjective fact which needs to be backed up with a source, as does the "he seemed to come from nowhere" quote. If you have a source for these, please do reinsert them along with the appropriate reference. Regards, CLW 11:40, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Euroloppet Club

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Euroloppet Club, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Phlegm Rooster (talk) 17:37, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Euroloppet, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Euroloppet Club. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 12:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Euroloppet

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Euroloppet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TheSuave 13:03, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2008

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Euroloppet, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Mayalld (talk) 13:08, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Euroloppet Club

[edit]

I have nominated Euroloppet Club, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Euroloppet Club. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Mayalld (talk) 13:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Boris Kaiser! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Ulf Schmidt - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Antonio Palafox - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  3. Geoff Masters - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  4. Rex Hartwig - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 16:39, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ulf Schmidt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

BLP unreferenced since 2006. Fix or delete.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ViridaeTalk 05:29, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited List of political families in the United Kingdom, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages John Russell, Frank Russell and Tavistock (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ways to improve Timmis

[edit]

Hi, I'm 1bandsaw. Boris Kaiser, thanks for creating Timmis!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Is this page about the car or the company? The name says the company, but the majority of the content is about the car.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. 1bandsaw (talk) 18:27, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of honorary citizens of Schleswig-Holstein is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of honorary citizens of Schleswig-Holstein until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.
